With our friends at 8909, we made something we’re incredibly proud of. A documentary exploring the creative inner world of Bongeziwe Mabandla. We spent a day filming in and around Melville, ate a delicious roast chicken lunch, and talked about how lucky we were to catch the sunrise that morning. We wrapped ahead of schedule, reeling from a beautiful day spent making something with beautiful people.

Hayden gave us our first real shot here, trusting us with our first commercial opportunity for PUMA. We made this one with a lot of new crew who very quickly became family. After plenty of pre production and art direction, we pulled it all together in a day, splitting the shoot around sunrise and sunset to catch the light just right. This one will always be a special one for us.
OBJECTS: THE PROTEA
400 SEATS Documentary
Where do we even begin with this one? Objects was a real labour of love. We created it because we wanted to lean back into our documentary roots and make something that felt close to why we started filmmaking in the first place.
It’s one of those projects we still think about years down the line. What an honour it was to make this one.
SHELFLIFE × SFTM × ADIDAS Shelflife Campaign
We always wanted to shoot here! What an epic one with Jake from Shelflife at the wheel of it all. It was a windy set day. We spent most of the day fighting gale force winds, warmed ourselves up with a Thai green curry and took the day by the horns. Somewhere between shots we chatted about our favourite camping spots, and wrapped another beautiful day on set feeling pretty chuffed with what we’d made.
Shooting at Theatre Arts always feels like shooting at home. We had a full studio, with 16 of us looking forward to what the day would bring.
The backdrop felt like a glowing portal in the middle of the room. We had it specially painted for the shoot, which meant we got to keep it! It’s since found its permanent home at studio400.
